I am a second year traditional MS student with a focus in Food Science. Nutrition is so vital for your overall health, and it's always interesting to learn more about the field of nutrition. Some of my favorite food ingredients include mushrooms, seafood, and fermented foods. I also love discovering new fruits and veggies to try. One of my favorite recipes is chanterelle mushroom risotto, a delightful and comforting dish to prepare with friends and family.
I love the outdoors, and activities such as hiking and swimming are my favorite. I have two adorable cats who love food as much as I do, and their particular favorite foods are avocados and yogurt.

I am currently in my fifth year of college after transferring here last fall from community college. I am interested in nutrition after learning about how what we eat can affect not only our physical state, but also our mental one. I want to be able to help educate others about it as well.  My favorite food are sandwiches due to how diverse they can be, I can’t pick just one type of sandwich! I enjoy practicing my banjo when I have time as well as going to the gym. I have a dog back home in San Diego that my family adopted about 2 years ago. Her name is Penny and always has a tennis ball in her mouth.
Although sandwiches are my favorite food, I have been enjoying making tteokbokki. I think I make it, or at least some variation of it, at least twice a week!

Hi everyone! I am a fourth year nutrition major with a concentration in dietetics. I love nutrition because I love food and I think its very important to take careful consideration in what we put in our bodies. My comfort food is a pasta my grandparents make with homemade flatbread and Italian sausage. Currently, my favorite food to make is a shrimp fajita plate. I love to hike, go to the beach, swim in the ocean, and try new restaurants and coffee shops. I have one kitten named boo, he's part main coon and about a year old.

Hey! My name is Aidan (she/her) and I transferred to SJSU this fall. I am pursuing a dietetics degree to become a registered dietitian. Food has always been a huge part of my life, from learning to cook with my mom and grandma to trying new food while traveling. In the last few years, I realized I wanted to learn more about the science behind food and nutrition and pursue it as my career. My favorite foods are sashimi and bagels. Although I recently learned I have a wheat allergy so am looking for a good gluten-free bagel option (hmu!). In my free time, I love to spend time outside climbing and hiking.

I'm majoring in nutrition science with dietetics concentration. I'm a first-year master student. After taking a nutrition course as requisite course in nursing program, I decided to change my major to nutrition because I have a strong passion in food and would like to work in clinical settings. My favorite food is pho. My favorite comfort food is shaved ice and boba tea. A fun fact about me I can spend whole day in bed to watch K-drama.

I am currently in my third year at SJSU, majoring in nutrition science with a concentration. One of the driving forces behind my interest in nutrition is my desire to contribute positively to the community. There's a common misconception about carbs, and I aim to dispel the belief that all carbs are bad. Particularly in the Hispanic and other communities, the prevalence of diabetes is on the rise, and I aspire to play a role in promoting better food choices. Living in the Bay Area has exposed me to a rich tapestry of ethnic cuisines, making it difficult to pick a favorite food. I appreciate the diversity around us. However, I do have a fondness for sushi and find joy in creating different types of rolls. On the healthier side, fruits are my go-to comfort foods. Beyond my academic pursuits, I value spending time with my grandkids. Engaging in activities like hiking and playing with them brings me immense joy. While I don't currently have any pets, I've had the pleasure of caring for a dog, cat, and a bird in the past. My love for animals is a constant in my life.

I am a Nutritional Sciences major with dietetics concentration. I am an international student from Thailand, currently 21 years old, and I am a fourth year student at SJSU. I am interested in nutrition because I love baking and I have had a few relatives who had issues with diseases even though they have a healthy lifestyle, love exercising, but their diets wasn't as healthy. I wanted to learn ways to achieve a healthier diet so I can educate not only my love ones and others about it. My favorite food is actually a Thai dish called papaya salad! I just love spicy foods. My comfort food on the other hand is mushroom soup. I love to eat it since I was young. I also like to eat Thai omelet and rice. I usually made them when I have nothing else to eat or when I'm in a hurry because it is very easy and yummy.
A fun fact about me is that I am from Thailand, a very hot country, so I am still not used to the cold weather here. I love to bake during my free time or even when I am stressing out, baking helped a lot. I don't have a favorite food to make but I love baking choux cream. I do have pets at home in Thailand, her name is Tofu and she is a beagle.
